Introducing the Mya Saray Ballerina. Light graceful lines,
quality workmanship, um, I think my dancer analogy is going to go terribly
wrong but anyways, here we have the Ballerina. With many of the Mya Saray hookahs
I have reviewed I’ve discussed how solid and durable they are, workhorses for
the hard smoking settings, etc. The ballerina is still well made with a solid
brass core and chrome plating, but it is a little more on the stylish and elegant
side.

The first thing to note is that if you get it from Myahookah.com
it comes with their new high impact plastic case. The case is very nice with a
lockable latch, compartments to separate the pieces, and a internal padded
zipper pouch to give the base added protection. I’ll be posting a review of the
case itself in a separate write up. But for now the important thing is that the
Ballerina comes with one and it keeps it quite safe and secure.

The base is Bohemian Glass. Which means it is thin but strong. The top is set up for a screw in stem
as opposed to a pressure grommet so you don’t have to worry when one of your
friends picks the hookah up by the stem and tries to move it into the next
room. The metal threaded top piece will also protect the top of the glass from
accidental impacts while you are cleaning it, filling it, or putting the stem
in. The shape is elegant with a mixture of a traditional base with a modern
interpretation with clear sections and frosted sections and the gold painted
designs provide a nice touch. The glass passes the light clearly and when there
is water in it the effect is quite beautiful. The way the smoke looks when it
fills the base is also rather nice to watch.

The stem is also artistic. While the lines are simple, the
ripple effect gives it a more graceful look. Don’t let this fool you however,
it is still solid brass cored with a chrome finish and is quite durable. The
stem is set up with 2 capped spots for additional hose ports, which means with
a few hose adaptors from Myahookah.com and your bare hands you can set the Ballerina
up to take up to 4 hoses. As I’ve stated
before, the stem is a screw in type, so you can actually carry the whole hookah
by the stem instead of having to carry it by the base. The downstem on the
Ballerina is quite wide and long, allowing for good deep hits and a lot of
leeway as to water level. The typical 1 inch guideline for water levels can
really be considered a minimum with this hookah and you can add a bit more
water to the base for added stability and a deeper bubble.

All in all, the Ballerina is a beautiful hookah good for
both everyday use and for a more special occasion. The fine Bohemian glass base
gives it a slightly more light and elegant look when combined with the
beautifully designed stem. The case means you can safely transport it when
going out and want to bring something a little nicer with you than the usual
smaller travel hookah. And of course, it smokes like a MYA.

The goal of this project was to have a hookah before school started for study time at school in between classes but since i started school i hardly have time for other things like this and my 2 other main projects im working on a cnc machine and a rc car.

*Brand and Flavor:* White Gummybear

*Shisha Cut:* Medium, juicy, some stems

*Hookah Type:* 24" Egyptian

*Duration:* 1:30-2:00 (Hours, ofc)

*Bowl:* Vortex

*Foil / Screen:* 2 separately poked single sheets of foil (Poking them separately and flipping the bottom one "spiky" side up catches so much ash & helps add an air pocket between the two sheets to add a 'lil more distance between the shisha & coals)

*Coal / Amount: *3x CocoJamras (2x originally, 1 split in half for the last half hour)

*Smoke:* Thick & juicy

*Buzz: *Light

*Smell / Flavor:* Dead on to the name. I ordered it because I was kinda curious and a bit skeptical. But this stuff is dead on with the smell, the taste is 98% with vanilla coming through at times, but overall it kept its taste through the bowl and was a very good smoke.

*Rating (1 to 10): *9/10 on it's own, can make some killer mixes that need room for that extra point (and, let's be honest, price) are the only reasons I docked one ;) Going to have to give it a second go to make sure, but mixing this with SS's Tiger's Blood last night may have earned both a permanent spot on my shelf.

The post Fumari appeared first on Hookah Kings Blog.

Smell / Flavor: It smells weird in the box but when it burns it left my room smelling fruity. It tasted amazing! Me and all my friends really enjoyed the flavor

Rating (1 to 10): 9/10 I'v tried AF Cinnamon Roll and Romman Strawberry. It was better than the AF but not Romman. It was definitely better than I expected

Buzz: very little

Smell / Flavor: smells very lemony (is that a word)

Rating (1 to 10): 8. Definitely one of my favourite Nakhla flavours. It took a while to get going actually. But once it started I had to move the coals out because it started burning a little. Once it got going heat management was very easy.

The taste is very nice. The lemon/Lime taste is very prominent which I like. It lasted quite long and it actually gave me big clouds compared to other nak flavours. Highly recommended. Will pick up another batch asap

I know a lot of folks think of shiazo stones as an abomination to the hookah experience, but it can be enjoyable once you give it a chance. Don't get me wrong, I still think the flavor and consistency of the tobacco smoke is king. But then, its nice to try new things once in a while. Variety is the spice of life!!!!!

*Hookah:* MYA Acrylic Mini

*Size:* 16"

*Price:* £30 (around $45)

Image: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll192/mr-sinizta/mya-mini-acrylic-blue.jpg

Before purchasing this hookah I saw a video review of it but the guys who did it only seemed to have given a review of it on what it's like to begin with and smoke through initially. They didn't do anything on what it's like after using it for a significant period of time (months not hours).

Ok so the MYA mini is my very first hookah and thanks to the fine folk on Hookah Pro I've learnt what to look for when I'm ready to purchase a good second rig.

The MYA mini in my opinion is only a pipe you want to keep for a temporary period of time with the intention of upgrading in the near future because I'll be honest, I've only had it for about two months and already it's starting to show a lot of flaws.

But it's not all bad, even though it's cons outweigh it's pros. The stem feels solid and feels weighty for a small rig, there aren't any obvious signs of welds and everything for the most part sits quite flush and looks clean. It's also small enough to take to a friend's house or work, It's not too bad of a smoker....... to begin with.

On the downside though, the water vase feels very cheap and plastic. The grommets are quite flimsy, especially the hose grommet which keeps sliding in and out of the nozzle for your hose, this a good time to mention that the nozzle rusts very quickly and mine already has brown colouration on the inside with these strange white dots. The hose is made of a leatherish material and thanks to HookahPro member 'Sosolid' I was informed that the hose can't be washed because it would be ruined, this is a real pain because as soon as you smoke a strong flavoured shisha for example AF's double apple, the smell of double apple lingers in the hose even after you have smoked a few different flavoured shishas. Also, the clay bowl I received had a oval shaped entry slot (rather than a circle shape) where the stem is inserted into it, this often caused the shisha to leak out down onto the tray and the smoke would escape out the bottom because it was poorly moulded and didn't sit snugly around the bowl grommet.

The worst thing is that the inside of the stem has a rough metal texture which at first I thought was normal but after Sosolid sent me a picture of the inside of his stem I immediately saw the difference, this rough metal texture on the inside makes it harder to clean and easier for all kinds of crap to get caught in there which quickly lessens the enjoyment of your smoking session.

Overall, this is just a pipe to help you learn the ropes of how to set up a hookah and learn the technique of pacing yourself when smoking shisha. But apart from that you will quickly find yourself replacing your bowl, hose and grommets.

My advice would be purchase this only if you're on a tight budget, but if you can wait and save up a bit more... It's better to invest in a half decent hookah (maybe a Khalil Mamoon Beast or Farida mini) if a small rig is what you're after.

Thanks for reading and enough love to all my Yankee comrades who have helped school me in setting up and smoking a hookah.

The post Mya Saray Acrylic Mini Review appeared first on Hookah Kings Blog.
